Internship and Preceptorship
Kendall Road Equine
Hospital is committed to providing continuing education to new graduates and veterinary students. Our internship and externship
programs are excellent ways for equine veterinary students to advance their training and investigate the career of equine
veterinary practice.
Internship
Kendall Road Equine Hospital offers two positions each year to recently graduated
veterinarians. The internship lasts one year starting in July of each year and offers an opportunity for recent graduates
to further their skills and acquire the experience they need to succeed in practice or continue into advanced training. The
internship is a rewarding hands on experience that is tailored to each individuals interests and skills. While the internship
year is hard work and challenging, we do not consider interns to be "slave labor" and we work to make the year a valuable
experience for all parties involved. Details concerning the internship can be obtained from the AAEP Avenues website. We encourage
interested parties to inquire about the program and upon request we will supply contact information so that you may speak
with current or recent interns.
Preceptorship
Veterinary students are welcome to schedule visits to our facility.
We have arrangements for one student at a time to stay at the clinic. Students are encouraged to visit the AAEP Avenues website
